Author Registration

At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference before the early registration deadline of June 15^th 2011. An author is allowed to present more than one paper, but a paper cannot be presented by someone who is not one of the authors of the paper.

Delegate Registration

Attendees are strongly encouraged to register in advance of the Conference. Registration fees include: participation in conference sessions (excluding satellite workshops and tutorial sessions), one copy of the abstracts/programme book, one copy of the conference proceedings CD-ROM, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks (as per programme), admission to the Welcome Reception at the Conference Venue on Sunday 28 August, and admission to the Banquet at Villa Castelletti on Tuesday 30 August. Lunches are not included in any registration fees. All fees are in € (EURO).

Accompanying Guests

Accompanying guests are strongly advised to register in advance of the Conference. The Accompanying Guest Fee includes admission to the Welcome Reception at the Conference Venue on Sunday 28 August and admission to to the Banquet at Villa Castelletti on Tuesday 30 August. Guests will not be permitted to attend Conference sessions. Please provide full guest names as all guests will be issued with a badge.

Registration Fees

Please note that in order to pay the ISCA member fee, you must be an ISCA member at the time of the conference. Please check your ISCA membership status and current membership expiry date at ISCA Members List.

If you will not be a member of ISCA at the time of the conference, you can add ISCA membership to your registration, or register beforehand at ISCA online registration . You may find that it would be less expensive to pay for your membership in Euros on the ISCA website than including ISCA membership with your conference registration.

Student fees are available only to full-time students. Please fax or e-mail proof of your student status, signed by the Head of Department to the Conference Secretariat (+39 055 2462 270 or interspeech2011@promoleader.com ) at the time of registration. If this proof is not received, the full registration fee will be applied.

Early registration should be completed before June 15^th 2011. Regular registration closes on 15 August 2011. On-site registration at the conference venue starts in the afternoon of 27 August 2011. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference before June 15^th 2011.
Regular registration includes: 1 CD containing the Conference Proceedings, 1 Conference Program & Abstract Book, 1 ticket to the Welcome Reception, 1 optional ticket to the Reviewer Reception, 1 ticket to the Banquet and 1 conference bag.
Student registration includes: 1 CD memory device containing the Conference Proceedings, 1 Conference Program & Abstract Book, 1 ticket to the Welcome Reception, 1 ticket to the Student Reception, 1 ticket to the Banquet and 1 conference bag. Proof of full-time student status is required when registering as a student.
Tutorials are not included in Regular or Student registration fees. Tutorials may be purchased for an additional fee at the time of conference registration. Register early, as tutorial places will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Additional Welcome Reception and Banquet Tickets for accompanying persons will be available and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Cancellation charges
Registration and tutorial fees may be refunded as follows:

Banquet and welcome reception ticket sales are final. No refunds will be made.

All tutorials are held on Saturday 27 August 2011 at the Conference Venue. The tutorial fee will include attendance to one or two three-hour tutorials, one coffee break and printed course notes.

Welcome Reception � Sunday 28 August 2011

Everyone is invited to the Welcome Reception to be held at the Conference Center. One ticket is included with your registration. Registered accompanying guests will be issued with one ticket.

Student Reception � Monday 29 August 2011

Student delegates are invited to attend a drinks reception and snacks at "Flò lounge bar" located near Piazzale Michelangelo, one of the most picturesque location in the world. One ticket is included with each student registration.

Reviewer Reception � Monday 29 August 2011

Reviewers are invited to attend a drinks reception and snacks at a location still to be decided. One ticket is included with each reviewer registration.

Banquet � Tuesday 30 August 2011

A Banquet will take place at the famous Villa Castelletti. Delegates will be able to enjoy a buffet and drinks followed by an evening of entertainment. One ticket is included for delegates with early or regular registration. Tickets are not included in any on-site registration. Registered accompanying guests will be issued with one ticket.

On-line registration is currently open. Payment via credit card is the preferred method of registration. The online system uses secure encryption to protect your card and personal details.

Grants for Students to Attend the Conference

ISCA, INTERSPEECH and GOOGLE are providing financial support to students and young scientists participating in INTERSPEECH 2011 through a limited number of grants. The support covers early registration and possibly accommodation costs, while transportation costs are covered only in exceptional cases. Applicants from all countries are eligible. Substitute delegate names are accepted, but may be subject to an administration fee of €40.00 � please confirm the details in writing to the Secretariat.

Cancellations received on or before 20 June 2011.

An administration fee of €70 will be due and will be deducted from any refund issued.

Cancellations received between 20 June 2011 and 10 July 2011.

Half payment (50%) is due and 50% refunds will be issued.

Cancellations received after 10 July 2011.

Full payment is due and no refunds will be issued.

Insurance

The organisers do not accept any responsibility for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Delegates are strongly advised to have their own travel insurance policies to cover risks including (but not limited to) loss, cancellation, medical costs and injury. INTERSPEECH 2011 and/or the conference organisers will not accept any responsibility for any delegate failing to take out adequate insurance.

Visas and Letters of Invitation

Travellers may require a visa to enter ITALY. We strongly recommend that you check entry requirements at IT Border Agency website. If you need a letter of invitation please write or e-mail to the INTERSPEECH 2011 Secretariat.
